π McHeli β Vehicles (OpenWar changes)
McHeli is the mod that brings the vehicles (helicopters, planes, tanks, boats). This page lists what changes on OpenWar compared to the original mod β not the whole mod, just the in-house tweaks.
π Vehicles are bought at the Faction Shop.
β½ Fuel by vehicle type
Fuel is no longer McHeli's generic can. Each vehicle burns an HBM fluid depending on its category:
| Category | Fuel |
|---|---|
| π Helicopters & βοΈ Planes | Kerosene |
| π‘οΈ Tanks, π€ Boats & ground vehicles | Diesel |
- You fuel up with an HBM canister filled with kerosene/diesel (put it in the fuel slot).
- β οΈ The old McHeli fuel can no longer works on these vehicles.
- A specific vehicle may require a different fuel (server setting).
π Reworked aircraft sound
- Vehicles can be heard much farther away (up to ~360 blocks, versus ~120 before).
- Deeper and more powerful engine sound.
- Volume takes into account altitude, whether you're indoors, and the obstacles between you and the aircraft.
- Even the planes flying over spawn now have engine noise (before: silent).
𧱠Real collisions
No more invisible walls and floating floors: the collision now matches the real shape of the vehicle (wing by wing, part by part). You can walk on it and around it cleanly.
π« Ammo & resupply
- Resupplying vehicle weapons costs Ballistite (HBM) (in doubled quantity) instead of gunpowder.
- The portable missile launchers (FIM-92, FGM-148) have craftable ammo.
β Page verified by scanning the
OpenWarmarkers in the code: the gameplay changes above are complete (sound, fuel, collisions, ammo).
